Day 26 – A photo of somewhere you’ve been to.

For 4th of July in 2003 I went to visit my Grandma Bami in Utah. I'll never forget this visit as long as I live for a few reasons. One because most of my family was all there, I visited the Mormon temple && that night the Kobe Bryant rape case hit the media! The majority of my family took a day trip to Salt Lake City and we visited the Mormon Temple. I couldn't actually go inside because I'm not Mormon but there were several other buildings I was allowed to go into. The grounds of this place is BEAUTIFUL, it's like being at Disneyland, not a single piece of trash or bubble gum stuck on the ground. IMMACULATE to say the least. No disrespect but the best part about this besides the amazing architecture was my sister && I carrying our Starbucks all around the grounds. Oh we were such the little devils! Sheesh we couldn't help it with Boarders right across the street!

I remember her calling out my name because I was sleeping on the couch. She knew how much I LOVED Kobe. She loved Karl Malone && was a huge Jazz fan so she could talk Bball just like me. Anyway, we talked for HOURS that night about Kobe && life. I think we stayed up until 1 or 2 AM talking. We laughed so hard together. She's a Virgo just like my best friend && we just click. Always have, she used to make me laugh so hard && her laugh was so infectious.  I never knew that would be our last conversation in person. I would have told her so much more. Until this day I have never and probably will never meet someone as soft and cuddly as her. She gave the best Bami hugs. Sorry for the sappy-two-days-in-a-row posts...

Day 24 – A photo of something that means a lot to you.

Okay so you know a story comes a long with my pictures.  :) This isn't the actual bottle that is on my book shelf in my living room but it's the same scent.  Ever since I could remember my Grandmother told me that she had a special locket for me that I used to chew on as a baby when she was wearing it, she even had pictures of me doing so.   She also had 4 specials rings for her only four grandaughters that we would receive when she passed away. When my Bami was sent home to rest in 2004, her husband locked up all her personal posessions before we arrived at the house. All we wanted to do was smell her dresses and be in her place so we could remember her.   This bottle of perfume is the only thing of my Grandmother's that I have besides an antique jewelry box she gave me when I was 16. I literally had to steal this out of her bathroom. I love this smell, it reminds me of her so much. When I miss her or I am thinking about her I spary her scent just so I can feel her around me. I love you Bami....I miss your laugh & your hugs sooo much. We had the best conversations EVER!!!

A DryBar for your mane!!

I don't know if these are going on in just my city but Blow Out Bars or Dry Bars are becoming really big in LA. I'm a sucker for hair styles. I generally don't like forking out more than $20 bucks for a curl for the night that usually lasts me two days but I just might have to fork out the $30 just on the strength of trying this out. After reading reveiws some blow outs + curls lasted until the following morning! $35 includes a shampoo!

Here is the menu: http://www.thedrybar.com/

Day 23 – 15 facts about you.

Yikes!! 15 facts about me...

1. When I was in Jr. High School I wrote for the school newspaper. One of my features was the monthly superlatives.

2. I got my 1st job when I was 14 as a waitress at a convalescent home. My neighbor James Grady & I walked to our interviews. Our birthdays were a week apart. He went first & didn't get the job because of his age, I went in next && got the job. I teased him FOREVER about this. However, I've been working ever since.

3. I used to live for the days my Dad would take me for rides around the neighborhood on his motorcycles.

4. My two worst habits are biting my nails && picking my split ends

5. I cherish the memories when my family was all together. I will never forget my childhood.

6. I'm 5'3.5 and haven't grown an inch length wise since I was 13.

7. When I was 5 my uncle murdered a man && my Dad took me to see the body. After trial my Uncle was found not guilty by self defense.

8. I've seen almost every famous Hip Hop artist perform. I LOVE MUSIC, esp. LIVE Entertainment.

9.  My only dream as I kid that I had was to see Jordan play a live game of hoops. It never happened. So now I dream of owning Laker Season tickets.

10. I don't like being alone && I'm at my best when I'm in a relationship

11. I love to love, be in love, give love and see love. I'm a libra & ruled by Venus.

12. People that go out of their way to despite you or point out what you're doing wrong truly upsets me.

13. I believe in higher power, the universe, the stars, astrology, numerology, spirits, divine order and all things that gravitate towards what you seek in prolonged thought.

14. I keep my emotions built up a lot because I always want to be strong for people who are going thru harder times.

15. Every ounce of my being is for my daughter. When I feel like giving up and taking the easy route I think of my baby girl and how much she depends on me.  I still watch her sleep, and still think about the day I first saw her and how I felt. It's irreplaceable, something of that magnitude is far greater than anything else money could ever buy.

Weekend [RECAP]

I'm a huge numerology nut && all things #'s... I pay attention to how certain numbers appear in my life && have specific meaning. My #'s are 3, 9 and all #'s equalling 9. This is the counter on the wall by the pool table we use.
6 + 4= 10 = 1+0 = 1

24 is Kobe Bryant my favorite player or 2+4 = 6 Maxx's favoite #.

45 is Michael Jordans' # && 4+5=9

18 my daughter's birthday && 1+8 = 9

Also, the last two balls were both orange. Orange Strip #5

Solid Orange was # 13.  13+5=18   1+8=9

So we left & played the lotto for $118 Million.

Our #'s ....

After going to bed at 4 AM, we woke up at 9 AM to get to Downtown by 11 to hit up Artisanal LA 2010.  Artisanal was located in the http://www.cooperdesignspace.com/ (Cooper Building) which in the Fashion District of LA. This particular building is the show room to many designers.

Here we sampled some mostly organic, gluten free, healthy..blah blah blah products.

On my way.....

I love Coke && Coffee. So he stood next to this Kid who explained this perfect drink && how it was made. Dished out 3 bucks and HERE YOU GO!

 & Jonathan's Signature Truffles at http://www.compartes.com/ were also TDF! OMG you have to look at the website & see some of their designs!!

Highlight: Picking fresh herbs that we planted in pots to take home to Maxx's Mom, Learning about Urban Detox, a drink made by Function Drinks. It's a "hangover" reflief drink && taking home several free goodies to enjoy.

LowLight: Too many sweets && not enough food vendors. && a lady with yucky Cherry & Honey jam which tasted nasty got mad at us for not taking her business card. Boo to you lady!!

Day 21 – A photo of something that makes you happy.

Besides all of the regular stuff...My daughter, Family, friends, work, etc.... Let's face it...MONEY makes me happy.

Day 20 – The meaning behind your blog name.

[THE JAZZY SPOT] In January 2009 someone I know kept calling me Jazzy. Ever since then I referred to myself as Jazzy because they decribed my 'style' as always keepin it Jazzy.

flashy: (used especially of clothes) marked by conspicuous display

In the style of jazz; Flashy or showy
Jazzy: A classy female. One who seems to be the eye of attention.

Day 19 – Another picture of yourself.

Horrible quality of photo && intended on posting Friday when day 19 was supposed to be but I got caught up in other stuff!! This is me in traffic as usual.  I'm leaving court headed back to work! xoxo
